Fishing

The new Fishing Season will start at dawn on Tuesday 16th June 2020.  THIS WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE WATER LEVELS.

Village residents may obtain a Season Fishing Permit from the Village Post Office free of charge. If you are not known to the Post Office you will need to provide photographic ID to obtain the Season Permit.

In view of the current Coronavirus situation there are a couple of changes to the normal permit issuing procedure.  One of the Fishing Wardens is happy to sell permits and will be wearing gloves and a mask as he thinks appropriate.  The other Warden is not comfortable with selling permits but will check permits from a distance and is happy to keep an eye on fishermen’s equipment if they need to go to the Post Office to buy a Permit.

Social Distancing rules of 2 metres should be observed where appropriate but we are assuming this will not be problem for those fishing.

Permits will be on sale from the Village Post Office or the Fishing Warden and are £5 per day for adults and free for children under the age of 12.  Each angler must have a current rod licence.  These can also be purchased from the Village Post Office.

Please contact the undersigned if there are any problems.
